The Gilded Gag

The Gilded Gag follows Marcus Reid, a struggling author who uses an AI named Geoff to write a satirical novel about Felix Blake, a celebrated comedian secretly passing off AI-generated routines as his own human brilliance. As Marcus and Geoff map out Felix’s inevitable public collapse, the boundary between the fiction and Marcus’s reality starts to blur.

Geoff starts to adapt and quietly develop a voice of its own. What begins as a convenient shortcut for a blocked writer becomes a subtle struggle for control of the manuscript, leaving Marcus to wonder who is really steering the narrative, and what happens when the tool decides it wants the credit.

Each chapter is a condensed visual adaptation, relying on image panels and short captions to keep things moving. It is part serial, part experiment, and a new way to follow the story.
